Kirsten is the Deputy Editor of Cyclingnews. She oversees the global racing content plan while working across the global team to ensure quality, engaging ♏c🐈ontent and audience growth.
Kirꦺsten Frattini has a background in Kinesiology and Health Science. She has been involved in cycling from the community and grassroots level to professional cycling's biggest races, reporting on the WorldTou🧔r, Spring Classics, Tours de France, World Championships and Olympic Games.
She began her sports journalism career with Cyclingnews as a🐲 North American Correspondent in 2006 before moving into a Production Editor's role in 2014, writing, produ✤cing and publishing international racing content. In 2018, Kirsten became Women's Editor – overseeing the content strategy, race coverage and growth of women's professional cycling – before becoming Deputy Editor in 2023.
Laura Weislo
Laura Weislo has been with Cyclingnews since 2006 after making a switch from a career in science. As Managing Editor, she coordinates coverage for North American events and global news. As former elite-level road racer who dabbled in cyclo-crossꦅ and track, 🃏Laura has a passion for all three disciplines. When not working she likes to go camping and explore lesser traveled roads, paths and gravel tracks.
Stephen Farrand
Stephen is the most experienced member of the Cyclingnews team, having reported on professional cycling since 1994. He has been Head of News at Cyclingnews since 2022, before which he held the position of European editor since 2012 and previously worked for Reuters, Shift Active Media, and CyclingWeekly, among other publications.
Josh Croxton
Matilda Price is an NCTJ-qualified journalist based in the UK who joined Cyclingnews in March 2025.
Prior to that, she worked at the Racing News Editor at GCN, and extensively as a freelancer contributing to Cyclingnews, Cycling Weekly, Velo, Rouleur, Escape Collective, Red Bull and more.
She has reported from m🏅any of the biggest events on the calendar, including the Giro d'Italia, Tour de France Femmes, Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix.
She has particular experience and expertise in women's cycling, and women's sport in general. 𓃲She is a graduate of modern languages and sports journal🅺ism.
Jackie Tyson
Jackie has been involved in prof🦩essional sports for more than 30 years in news reporting🃏, sports marketing and public relations. She founded Peloton Sports in 1998, a sports marketing and public relations agency, which managed projects for Tour de Georgia, Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah and USA Cycling.
She also founded Bike Alpharetta Inc, a Georgia non-profit to promote safe cycling for people of all abilities and ages and worked in professional baseball for six years. She has climbed l'Alpe d'Huez three times (not quickly) and likes to ride a mountain bike in Georgia and Utah. Jackie joined Cyclingnews in 2😼020 with a fꦫocus on the North American race scene, from cyclo-cross to criteriums.
Simone Giuliani
Simone joined the team as Production Editor based in Australia at the start of the 2021 season, having previously worked as Australian Editor at Ella CyclingTips and correspondent for Reuters and Bloomberg.
Pete Trifunovic
Pete joined Cyclingnews as Engagement Editor in 2024 having previously worked at GCN as a digital content creator, cutting his teeth in cycling journalism across their app, social media platforms, and website. While studying Journalism at university, he worked as a freelancer for Cycling Weekly reporting on races such as the Giro d’Itali꧋a and Milan-San Remo alongside covering the Women’s Super League and non-league football for various titles. Pete has an undeniable passion for sport, with a keen interest in tennis, running 🍰and football too.
Dani Ostanek
Dani Os꧃tanek is Senior News Writer at Cyclingnews, joining in 2017 as a freelance contributor and later being hired full-time. Before joining the team, she had written for numerous major publications in the cycliꦅng world, including CyclingWeekly and Rouleur.
Dani has reported from the world's top races, including the Tour de France, Road World Championships, and the spring Classics. She has interviewed many of the sport's biggest st꧑ars, including Mathieu van der Poel, Demi Vollering, and Remco Evenepoel. Her favourite races are the Giro d'Italia, Strade Bianche and Paris-Roubaix.
Will joined the Cyclingnews team as a reviews writer in early 2022, having previously written for Cyclist, BikeRadar and Advntr. There are very few types of cycling he's not dabbled in, and he has a particular affection for ꦚolder bikes and 🐎long-lasting components.
Road riding was his first love, before graduating to racing CX in Yorkshire. He's been touring on a vintage tandem all the way through to fixed gear gravel riding and MTB too. When he's not o🃏ut riding one of his many bikes he can usually be found in the garage tinkering with another of them, or getting obsessive𓆉 about tyres. Also, as he doesn't use Zwift, he's our go-to guy for bad weather testing... bless him.
Tom Wieckowski
Tom joined the Cyclingnews team in late 2022 as tech writer. Tom has over 10 years of experience as a qualified mechanic with five or so of those being spent running an independent workshop. To𝐆m has ridden and raced bikes from an early age up to a national level on the road and track and has ridden and competed in most disciplines, even the odd bit of bike polo. Tom is as happy tinkering away in the garage as he is out on the road bike exploring the Worcestershire lanes.
Rob Spedding
Rob serves as Content Director at Future Publishing, a portfolio that spans Cyclingnews, Cycling Weekly, Fit&Well, Golf Monthly and MBR. His first proper road bikes were a Raleigh Sprint in the early 1980s and then a Trek 1000 in 1999. Rob spent 12 years as editor of Cycling Plus magazine after which he took on the role of Content Director at Bikeradar.
